Traditional network transmits information based on the TCP/IP protocol. But whenusing the TCP/IP protocol to transmit information, you need to have end to end links betweencommunication nodes. However, in some special networks, such as deep-space exploration,rural communications, disaster site and other networks, are unable to meet end to endconnection conditions, which makes the routing protocol of traditional networks not transmitinformation any more, so DTN networks came into being.With the radio technology developing, which makes the positioning technology moreand more mature, it is possible for the node to obtain the location information of node itselfand other nodes in the network. For the development of routing technology, it is a directionof applying the location information to the DTN networks technology. Based on the researchof location information, this article proposes improved LAR routing strategies, and use NS2to simulate.Firstly, This article introduces the characteristics of the high latency of DTN networks,frequent network disconnection and the limit of node resources, the routing protocol oftraditional networks can not apply to the DTN networks; secondly, it introduces thearchitecture of DTN networks. The architecture of DTN networks joins the bundle layerbetween the application layer and the transport layer in the five architecture of traditionalnetworks, which realizes the function of storing-carrying-forwarding in the process ofnetwork transmission so that it can adapt the characteristics of DTN networks. The DTNrouting protocols in the current research and the application situation are introduced,including the routing protocol based on the location information. And the routing informationis compared and analyzed.Secondly,this paper combination PROPHET protocol and link reliability with the LARprotocol, change the method of forward in request domain. It reduces the message copies inthe networks which achieves the purposes of saving network resources and improving the network utilization. Because of the characteristics which the information of the nodeschanges with the time changes, it may have the condition that the expected domain ofdestination node does not belong to the request domain. This paper proposes anothermechanism-LAR of confirming the request domain. The-LAR respectively combineswith the PROPHET and the link reliability, it proposes the new routing mechanism.Toachieve the integration of location information with other DTN routing algorithm routingalgorithm.Lastly, this paper uses NS2simulation software to have the simulation analysis ondifferent routes and different networks. This section mainly includes the implementation ofrouting protocol, simulation script writing, the data extraction and drawing of the generateddocuments after the simulation and the results analysis.The results show that:improvedrouting mechanisms have different degrees of improvement in the data packet arrival rate,average delay and routing overhead,and with the increase in the number of nodes, networkexpansion, improved routing protocol is more efficient.
