| Standard Definition full hard disk digital broadcast system in Suzhou Broadcasting System was created in2007. The system is used for the broadcast of four self-management TV channels and one shopping channel. The mode of this system is single channel main and standby K2video server, main and standby broadcast command machine, main and standby signal link. The security of broadcast tasks has been assured in the past6years. However, K2video server was crashed for several times and hard disk encountered malfunction. These affect the security of broadcasting and lead more pressure to front staff on duty and technical members. The introduction of the third backup broadcast system could reinforce system safety and emergency function, which is based on the existing broadcast system.We conducted a few tests on one VIPS vedio server before designing the new system. Additionally, VIPS vedio server could be used as the third backup server after one month’s uninterruptible transmit. Four VIPS vedio servers and four transmit control machines constitude the hardware structure of the third backup system. Each of the four main channels equips one VIPS vedio server and one broadcast machine. The configuration of internet and software would be tested after the construction of hardware structure. The redundant equipment of the core device and the redundant design of signal link are created for the system safety. One of the emergency methods of SBS is switching to standby hard disk signal when the main vedio server signal has problems. The other choice is switching to the surplus signal. My main duty is reforming the design of system and the prophase examination. I also participate in the construction of system and the maintain and operation of system equipment.This dissertation aims at the description of the design and construction of the third backup system in SBS from the point of the actual project. The whole system has operated successfully after setting up the third backup system. The workflow of system has also been optimized because of the active function of the third backup system. Overall, the third backup system has enhanced the ability of dealing with emergency and ensured the security of broadcasting. |
