As the development of the electronic technique, the degree of the automation in electronic device is becoming higher and higher. Especially in the dates when the internet of things develops greatly, the requirement for the precision of the measurement and the degree of automatic control is higher and higher. In order to make sure the electric device can respond to the changing environment, you must get the accurate measurement data.Now, the method of widely used measuring distance is:general laser ranging and ultrasonic ranging. As for laser ranging, although it can measure accurately, it also has its deadly disadvantage. The theory of general laser ranging is that record the time between sending light and receiving the reflected light, on which distance calculation is based. As we know, the speed of light is3x108m/s, and the precision of general laser ranging is up to the frequency of the clock used to recording time. So it raises a very high requirement for the hardware. Especially in measuring the close range, it’s almost impossible to support such a high frequency clock for timer to make sure the precision of measurement. Although the ultrasonic ranging can measure the close range measurement, its precision isn’t high. In addition, multiple reflections may affect the precision of its measurement.So the issue is come up with. The purpose of the issue is to solve the problem that the precision of laser ranging is low and its cost is high in close measurement. The system researched by the issue can reduce the requirement for hardware and make sure the precision of measurement. In order to get data flexibil, I use wireless transmission to get data from every terminal. According to the analysis of theory, the cost performance of the design is very high. The measurement method in the design is to adopt the theory imaging and image processing. The measurement theory will be discussed in the following content. I not only discuss the theory of the measurement, also do experiments. They indicate the method of measurement is not difficult to apply and it’s requirement for hard ware is not very high. But it also has some problems, such as that it’s sensitive to light, and if I optimize the arithmetic of processing image, the problem may be solved or weakened. So the requirement for hard ware is not high, but the requirement for software is high. If it is applied in the single environment, the requirement for the software isn’t high, and the precision will be higher. The sense of the design is to measure close range measurement and provide the measurement data. Adopting the measure method, we can not only make sure the precision high, also get data easily. Above all, the method has a low cost but high precision.
