With the development of the fourth generation mobile communication, long term evolution(LTE) technology with high data rate and low delay characteristics has become the focus of research.How to restrain inter-cell interference (ICI) and increase cell-edge performance is an importantissue in LTE system.The paper first studies the LTE uplink power control. Aiming at controlling inter-cellinterference, two new uplink power control algorithms are proposed, including the interferencebased power control algorithm and the position based power control algorithm. Then, this paperintroduces two typical interference coordination scheme, including the fractional frequency reusescheme and the soft frequency scheme, and analyses the advantages and disadvantages of eachscheme. In order to overcome the shortcomings of the scheme above, this paper proposes anadaptive SFR interference coordination scheme. Combined with power control, the schemepromotes cell edge user throughput and proformance of the system through effectively, flexibilyadjusting the power and subcarrier number of each user.
