Design And Implementation Of Converged Messaging Subsystem For Enterprise Social Network

With the rapid growth of information technology, the business process becomes more and more complex, the competitive environment becomes fiercer than ever, and the workplace becomes more and more dispersed. As a result, the demands for the communication in enterprises have increased significantly. Traditional means of communication cannot be integrated deeply with enterprise applications, which leads to high cost, low security and high expression difficulty. The enterprise social network is a social tool in enterprise2.0, which offers the stuffs a familiar way to work and drives the business processes efficiently by importing the mature social networks into the enterprise organization However the existing messaging system is highly coupled in the social network system. As a result, the message ability cannot be used by other enterprise applications, which greatly reduces the strength of integration in the enterprise information system. Under this background, the messaging system in the enterprise social network should not only provide a series of message application ability, but also provide the open interface, which can be integrated with other applications in the enterprise.In this paper, a converged messaging subsystem for enterprise social network is proposed. The architecture and procedure of the messaging system with duplex channel based on BOSH/XMPP is designed. The cloud storage for record ensures the scalability and robustness of the system. An one-stop service composed by notification, history management, buddy management and interface for ability is supplied. Meanwhile an open messaging capabilities interface is provided for other applications, which would not only satisfy the needs of enterprise social network but also make it more convenient and effective to integrate into other applications of informatization.Firstly, the background of the enterprise social network is introduced, as well as the key technology and existing typical messaging systems. Secondly, the solution and requirement analysis for the messaging subsystem are briefly described. Then a description of the overall design is provided, as well as the detailed design and implementation of modules such as messaging platform, buddy management, history management and interface for ability. Finally, the deployment and test cases are introduced. The test result not only illustrates the effectiveness of the design and implementation, but also reflects the availability and good performance of the subsystem.
