Barcode is used widely in printing and packing industry. Especially the bar code is the basis of the national implementation of electronic monitoring of drugs, So there is a higher standard for barcode which is printed in the drugs’ outer packing. However, due to the mechanical precision and printing processes and other reasons, the bar code symbol various problems during the printing process. Traditional offline detection has been unable to meet the needs of production, the use of machine vision technology for automatic quality barcode detection has become an inevitable trend.This essay is based on basic digital image-processing algorithms and machine vision algorithms and uses the algorithms developped the printer surface inspection system of BJ Focusight. It combines image processing and detecting barcode system, and studies the related image processing knowledge then make it automatically. This paper contains the following aspects:(1) Study the related processing algorithms related to detecting barcode image,I mainly research edge location algorithm base on the linear least squares line fitting and corner detection algorithm to quickly locate the bar code, and use them to solve the deviation detection.(2) To solve the defects matter during the printing process of the two-dimension code, propose a new detecting defect of printing two-dimension code algorithm, then gives the working process of the algorithm and model in math. The algorithm based on the hough transformation in line detection and the affine transformation in machine vision field. The experiments’results show that it can effectively detect the black and white track defects in the two-dimensional barcode image. (3) Analyze and compare the performance of the algorithm and the comfortable using ways, the algorithm summarizes the advantages and disadvantages, and proposed future research directions.
