The appears of CAPP technology makes craft workers freed from tedious and repetitive work, quickly prepare a complete and detailed process document, shortening the entire product development cycle. With the development of network technology, the traditional CAPP systems have begun to shift from client/server model to the browser/server mode. The application of Web technology solved the traditional CAPP system for client configuration requirements, does not facilitate unified management and other shortcomings. This paper is to design and implement a Web-based system for Mechanical parts CAPP system, in which the contents of the study involves building Web systems, how to design efficient and scalable database structure, how to achieve three-dimensional graphics products browsing in the browser and how to implement rights management systems.Firstly, a detailed description of background of CAPP system and the development of situation at home and abroad are appeared in this paper, according to the characteristics of Web-based CAPP system, this paper select Java as the development language, and SSH (Struts, Spring, Hibernate) framework is used to build the entire Web system. Then, a brief introduction of MySQL database and SQL language is shown, according to the needs, the general specifications for database design and the structural design of each database table are described.Secondly, how to make products for three-dimensional display in a Web browser are studied, the current strengths and weaknesses of existing display technologies are analyzed and summarized, after that, this paper propose using WebGL technology to achieve this function, and introduce in detail of the principles and techniques to use WebGL. To ensure the greatest degree of system security and reduce threats to information security, the principle of access control was studied in this paper. This paper focus on role-based access control (RBAC), design and implement the system access control management based on the RBAC principles.Finally, through the introduction of the system user login functionality, the system’s operating processes was described detailed in this paper, and the implements of user management, machine parts management, manufacturing process management, resource management, and other system functions are shown.In this paper, the development of mechanical parts CAPP system is based on browser/server mode, it basically meets the networking needs of enterprises, and is easy to maintain and expand, make the design process more efficient.
