With the development of communication technology and the increasing demand of multimedia applications, The3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) has introduced Multimedia Broadcast/Multicast Service (MBMS) in its Release6for cellular network service to transmit of multimedia content. In order to adapt to the LTE system framework, the Evolution MBMS (E-MBMS) was put forward in the Release8. The outstanding feature of E-MBMS is that MBSFN transmission mode is proposed. The MBSFN service subscribers can receive signals from multiple base stations of the same multicast service signals which are effectively combined. It overcomes the problem of poor channel environment of edge users, greatly improves the utilization rate of spectrum and the signal coverage scale and make the system performance be improved.In order to realize the green communication, solve the problems of MBSFN and achieve energy-efficient MBSFN, in this paper the main work is as follows:First, based on the related technology and service process of MBSFN, MBSFN simulation platform is constructed in this paper. Through the research on cooperative communication, the User Cooperation algorithm based on the MBSFN technology is proposed. Simulation results show that through User Cooperation, SINR of users in system has obvious improvement, especially the user in the edge area, which solves problem of poor channel environment of edge users in the large ISD MBSFN system and makes to make full use of the terminal resources.Second, the virtual cell partitioning algorithm of MBSFN with User Cooperation is proposed for the large area MBSFN with multiple cells. The simulation results indicate that through the use of the technology, the power consumption of the system is lowered, the number of base stations that send multicast signals is reduced, the multicast signaling overhead between MCE and base station is decreased, and the pressure on the operators is smaller. What is more, with the User Cooperation, it ensures the system users’multicast broadcast business requirements, and achieves the goal of energy-efficient.Finally, the paper puts forward MBSFN village power control algorithm based on the User Cooperation. This technology can solve the problems of bases’power waste in the MBSFN center station and interference from the surrounding area because of high power. Through simulation, it is verified that the technology can reduce transmission power of each base station in MBSFN, and the base station transmitted power can be adjusted dynamically according to the communication environment, also the proportion of users receiving business successfully is promoted by User Cooperation. This makes the energy-efficient MBSFN to be achieved.
