With characteristics of low cost, expandable and incorporeity, cloud storage becomes more and more popular. There are two aspects of security to consider of when using cloud storage:first is transmission and storage in cloud, second is storage in local disks. Study shows that common cloud storage researches pay too much attention on costs, and little on users’ security. Common cloud storage software always focuses on transmission and cloud. Users’ data is in danger in cloud, transmission and local disks.To deal with common systems’ shortages, this paper addresses a secure cloud storage system based on disk encryption. This system encrypts files on cloud which protects files during transmission and storage, uses USBKEY to realize key management, uses disk encryption to protect files downloaded to local disks.Then this paper implements the system, includes:file uploading, file downloading, file encryption, and secure disk module. Secure disk module is based on TrueCrypt disk encryption software, and is designed to be a disk security system which has confidentiality, integrity, ease to use and availability.Test and analysis shows that it is a practical system which is more secure than current systems that could protect data in cloud, transmission and local disks.
