Construction industry is one of the key industries in China’s economy. It has been playing an important role in economy growth and social development. In recent years, the whole construction industry has been keeping steady and fast growth. Along with the rapid growth, some issues start to emerge, which include the benefit conflicts between builders and consumers, the lack of high end design engineers, the quality problem caused by tight deadline, local or regional restrictions, etc. These problems are the main obstacles for further development of China’s construction industry. In this thesis, the crowdsourcing theory and web2.0technology are applied to the construction industry to construct a crowdsourcing platform. This platform aims to involve public participation into the implementation of the construction process in order to utilize social resources to improve the construction project quality, to leverage the whole construction industry level, and to promote the formation of healthy industrial environment. In addition this platform will help to solve the trust issue, mediate social conflicts, increase customers’satisfaction, and improve people’s living, working and entertainment environment.In this thesis, the author firstly described the background, research objective, and the state of the art in Web2.0technology and crowdsourcing theory. The author also described the creative points and main research contents. Then the author discussed the current status of the related problems and related theories. The author also analyzed the characteristics of all of the phases in the construction process of the crowdsource platform using project management theory. Then after analyzing the existing problems of China’s construction industry, the author proposed the techniques for crowdsourcing platform in construction industry using crowdsourcing theory. With these techniques the author did realizability analysis, functional requirements analysis, and non-functional requirements analysis. At last, based on system analysis, the author did detailed design of crowdsourcing platform in construction industry.The thesis has the following new points.Firstly,one major innovation of this thesis is the innovation of research perspective.This paper discussed the construction of the crowdsoucing platform deeply.Combined with the construction industry in this particular case,the crowdsourcing theory is applied to the existing problem solving strategies,and it will build a crowdsourcing of the construction industry.In this paper,the crowdsourcing platform has been analyzed deeply and designed detailedly.Secondly,the thesis build a new business model for the crowdsourcing platform of the construction industry.In this paper,the crowdsourcing platform has been analyzed deeply and designed detailedly. The first is to build the bidding module of the construction industry.The business processes of the construction bidding has be reconstructed.The second is to build the module of material purchase. Demanders and suppliers can be traded via the Internet and make online payments.The third is to build the leasing module of the construction equipment. The original lease model is introduction by acquaintances. The new leasing model is globalization,which will promote fair competition.The last is to build the communication module of the Architectural Talent. It has established a communication platform of the Architectural Talent.
