IMS is the network for IP private network and access-independent IP MultimediaSubsystem.It has open network architecture, support a variety of access,and alsoprovides rich multimedia services, has been accepted as the full Service networksolutions.Full Service operations is the fundamental needs since telecom restructuring,because of CMCC has no fixed network service before restructuring.How to realizethe integration of voice communication has become the primary problem. Multipleaccess communication can achieve coexistence and development of existing2G/3Gand LTE networks and Future integration with the Internet,can provide abundant valueadded service for enterprise, group users and individual users will eventually realizethe core network integration through communication in fixed and mobileconvergence.CM-IMS construction is divided into three main stages. Due to bandwidthconstraint, first IMS to achieve the main fixed access control.The main customers ofthe Group vigorously promote IMS solutions, providing multimedia service controlcapability. The second stage is the IMS and CS network coexist for a long time forprovide more stable network service. With the maturity of LTE Technology, IMS willprovide various multimedia services including voice for the user. The existing CSdomain will gradually degenerate into a IMS access network. IMS has become thecore network integration.With the advent of4G, the core network will also evolve， gradually transitionto IP networks,Circuit SwitchedDomain(CS) transition to PacketSwitchedDomain(PS).Currently mobile core network voice services primarily borneby the2G, to achieve network convergence, the CS main business will transition toIMS because of IMS can provide richer and more diverse multimedia services. Inorder to comply mobile network development.China Mobile CommunicationCorporation of Baishan gradually carry out IMS services. Complete the construction of the CMCC of Baishan CM-IMS design.IMS integrated network architecture is flexible but complex, has hign require forTerminal and client,so far, Operator have more test location and Commercial forIMS,but less of scale and applications.IMS current application status in operator is more business and less user. Butwith the development of Technology, IMS will be more and more used in networt byoperators.
