China as a country with five thousand years of civilization, archives are our precious wealth, keeping the archives safety is archival work priority, and it’s the life line of the archives, both physical security and information security, once threatened, will likely bring irreparable consequences. In recent years of frequent earthquakes, landslides and other natural disasters caused serious casualties and property losses, the disaster areas archives are also deeply damaged, which caused the archivist and social wide attention of archives security protection. In the current new situations, new tasks and new requirements, the archival work in our country is facing many opportunities and challenges. Conveniently and grasp the opportunity, and meet the challenge, to set up a archives security system in our country is a major issue to archivist. National archives bureau chief Dongquan Yang in the2010national archives security system construction work conference studied the necessity to construction of archives security system, and made clear instructions to set up the main task and basic requirements of archives security system. The fourth part is the conclusions and prospects, summarize the full thesis, and look into the future of the construction of archives security system.
