In the high-voltage transmission line systems, natural and man-made accidentswere occured frequently. Because of the continual emergence of extreme weather andmore complex geographical environment, transmission line deposited under iceoverweight or wire transmission lines as a result of foreign body protruding fracture,dancing, even cause high voltage transmission towers collapse occurs frequently,these incidents not only on our lives and the impact will on the work, more likely tocause incalculable economic losses, more severe cases, it will endanger the lives ofthe people. Therefore, how to prevent and respond to apply ice caused bytransmission line and the line is too heavy foreign bumps and other accidents becomethe top priority of our study.In this paper, we proposes a new DSP-based high-voltage transmission lineswhich the apply ice monitoring algorithm, while projections for on-line monitoring offoreign issues, innovative technology is proposed based on virtual frame digital imageprocessing algorithms. Two aspects of research in high-voltage transmission linethrough a camera on-line collection of images of the monitored area, and then throughits real-time processing DSP chips with normal image for comparison, the outcome. Ifnormal, not send pictures to the center; if abnormal, the monitoring results will becompressed into JPEG format image is sent to the rear of the center to alarm. In thispaper, image processing and digital image processing apparatus of the algorithm hasbeen studied and evaluated, and carried out and the results of hardware and softwaresimulation results show that using the above monitoring algorithm to quickly identifyabnormal image. The results have some errors, but are within the error range,compared with other algorithms applied in real-time on the practicality and arereached a more advanced level, to meet the monitoring requirements.
