Research On Business Activity Backup And Recovery For Financial Transaction System

The financial industry influences the lifeline of the whole country’s economy, with the increased awareness of information security, developing a disaster recovery system and business continuity system is particularly important to the financial industry. From the early cold-standby to warm-standby, and finally comes to hot-standby, disaster recovery technology has been well applied in plenty of industries, especially in financial industry. In recent years, architecture of the "business activity backup" came up based on the disaster recovery technology, this architecture with high availability can reduce or even eliminate the impact to the business availability which caused by normal and non-normal shutdown. Business activity backup leads to the transition, which makes it not simply a disaster recovery center, thus many idle equipments can be fully utilized.Firstly, this article analyzes the necessity and importance of data backup and recovery of financial transaction system as well as the system disaster backup and recovery. Secondly, based on the strategy of backup and recovery for local and city-wide disasters, it raised the technological method and strategy of ensuring the business continuity and fully using the resources from disaster backup center on the basis of disaster backup and recovery,finally, take the card front system disaster recovery project as an example, and elaborated the realization process of "business activity backup" and core data synchronization, it shows that the purpose of disaster backup is not only making backups but also keeping the business continuity. The conclusion and existing problems are given by analyzing the testing results.The result of case study shows that the schemes in this article can better satisfy the financial institutions’requirements on stability, safety and continuity of business data, which achieve the research target of this article.
