In the early years, the Internet has achieved great success, bringing a huge change to our life. Now the architecture of Internet has some shortcomings, such as, unable to solve the contradictions between network performance and scalability, exposing the problems like poor flexibility, unreliability and difficult to manage. These issues make the Internet in trouble.Network virtualization technology is to add an abstraction layer between the underlying physical network and network users. The abstraction layer devides the physical network resources to provide a virtual network for the upper layer, overcoming the problems that the traditional Internet being faced with. In the large-scale data center network, supporting multi-tenant is a core requirement. NV03working group founded by IETF has been engaged in research on building virtual data center network upon the IP network. In terms of the technical demands in NV03, HuaWei company proposed a data center network virtualization solution based on IS-IS route protocol in IETF NV03working group. The network architecture of this solution is composed of a data plane and a control plane. This paper focuses on the control plane of the solution of HuaWei company. This paper analyzes the research status of the data center network virtualization technology in domestic and abroad and briefly introduces the NVO3network technology at first. Then it puts forward the data center network virtualization scheme based on IS-IS proposed by HuaWei and focuses on a detailed description of the implementation of control plan and the test work about the functions of the control plane. Finally, it summarizes the achieved work and prospects the future work.
