Indoor distribution system is a necessary way to solve the indoor coverage problem, the signal from the base station is separated by a series of components and then distributed to the indoor antenna through the signal lines, thus to achieve good quality of network coverage in the target areas. Combined with powerful capabilities in both data and graphic of the computer, indoor distribution design software is an important auxiliary tool to help design the system based on the building drawings.AIDP (Advanced Indoor Design Platform) software in this thesis is a kind of indoor distribution design software which is developed based on the CAD platform with ObjectARX package. And the primary works in this thesis are presented as follows:(1) By the consideration of the weakness of indoor network coverage and the comparison of different kinds of indoor distribution design software at home and abroad, the plan to develop the AIDP is established. And the process of the system design and the calssical models of propagation are fully analyzed.(2) By the analysis of the functional requirements of the AIDP which includes basic functions and enhancements, the design goals and software framework is established.(3) The design and implementation of three crucial modules of the AIDP is introduced in detail:the field strength prediction module is developed based on the empirical model of propagation and provides two modes to predict the strength of the radio wave. The auto-numbered module can automatically number the serial numbers or floor numbers of the antennas and drawings’ numbers, which can greatly improve efficiency. The number review module is an important part of the drawing review function, it can find out whether the numbers of the antennas are corresponding in the plan drawings and the system drawings, which can improve the accuracy of the system.(4) Practical test cases, for which include the field strength prediction module, the auto-number function for the antennas and drawings and the number review module, are designed to verify the correctness and effectiveness of the AIDP.Based on the study of indoor distribution system and models of propagation, the requirements and framework of the AIDP are analyzed, the related functional moduels are designed and implemented. By some practical test cases for the functional moduels, the correctness and effectiveness of the AIDP are verified.The AIDP designed in this thesis is a demonstration for the indoor distribution design software, and has model significance and great reference value.
