With the explosive growth of the Internet, technology exponentially development, resulting in a large amount,of data, the demand for bandwidth is more prominent; In the case of optical network bandwidth is no significant growth, how to use the network spectrum resources efficiency is significant.Conventional WDM network allocation resources in a large scale, causing a large number of internal fragmentation, resource utilization is inefficient, for this situation, an optical network technology which can allocate spectrum precisely was proposed-Elastic Optical Network. Elastic optical network spectrum allocation must meet the consistency, continuity of the spectrum limitations, which can cause even though there are plenty of resources in the network, but the request may be blocked, so we introduced the frequency conversion to solve this problem. By performing wavelength conversion to break the consistency limitation of spectrum allocation, the spectrum resource utilization can be largely improved.This paper mainly studied the link resource management and mechanisms problem of frequency convertible elastic optical network, mainly includes the following three aspects:1. Analysis the current situation and the key technology of elastic optical networks. Elaborate the implementation of elastic optical network architecture, and the designed idea of resource management platformu reserve module.2. Against the limit of spectrum allocation in elastic optical networks, we introduced the frequency conversion mechanism to break the limitation of spectrum consistency. We consider the error rate distance adaptive modulation,frequency conversion factors and propose BER-DA-WC algorithm.simulation results show this algorithm can reduce the blocking rate and improve the network resource utilization.3. We combine with the machine learning algorithms to rank the nodes in the network, select some nodes to placed wavelength conversion device.The simulation results show that60%of the nodes in the network have frequency converter can achieve the same benefits as that of full frequency conversion capability, so that we can ensuring the network efficiency and minimizing the number of physical device at the same time.
