With the rapid development of the Internet technology in recent years, industrial control gradually combines with Internet technology together rather than the local bus control initial. It has been widely used in fieldbus to integrate the field control layer and the management layer completely. This thesis has developed a remote monitoring system based on CAN bus and Ethernet, which can be used in remote monitoring and management of industrial field.Based on CAN bus and the Socket communication technology, this thesis mainly offers the overall design of the system and the realization method of hardware and software. This system acquires the digital and analog data into the computers of industrial field through CAN bus. At the same time, the computers can control the target in the industrial field. Both the onsite and remote computers install the remote monitoring software which can realize the text, voice and video communications. In this way, it can be realized the function of the remote desktop assistance and mutual transfer files, in order to real-time monitor and maintain the devices in the industrial field. Due to the onsite and remote computers are not in the same local area network (LAN), these two machines can establish a connection with the method of forwarding data by a server which has a public ip.Compared to the traditional method of remote monitoring system, the system designed by this paper has wide coverage, high transmission efficiency and good real-time performance. The technicians can make a real-time monitoring and maintenance for the equipment cross the area.After debugging the hardware and software parts, it is verified that this system has good stability and reliability, which can realize the remote monitoring and maintenance of industrial field.
