In order to meet the Intelligent and refinement requirements of the growing industry, thedata storage system needs to test multiple types of sensors simultaneously and recover dataeasily and reliably, especially in portable data collection. After the full review of the currentdevelopment status and direction in data storage system, studying related technical knowledgein test system design, such as USB2.0protocol, CY7C68013A firmware framework andFAT32file system, combining sensor technology, FPGA control technology and USB bustechnology, this paper proposes a portable data storage system design on sensors withXC3S400as the control center, CH378L as the file management unit, the interface of U diskand simultaneous acquisition of multi-type sensor signals. The portable data storage system has three basic functions, sensor signal acquisition, datastorage and U disk operations. The specific functions are grouped into the following areas:(1) The self-powered system works more than three hours with operating current lessthan300mA, and has small size, light weight and other portability characteristics. To meet thetest of numerous multi-type sensors, the recorded data can’t be overwritten on the poweragain.(2)According to a variety of sensors, the data storage system can achieve real-timesynchronous acquisition of8LF or IF analog signals with corresponding200Hz or2KHzsample rate in16-bit resolution.(3)When the available space of memory is insufficient, the system writes the recordeddata into a U-disk as a USB-HOST in order to store mass data. For dealing with the largeamounts of data separately and detaching multiple sensor signals, the recorded data is storedas several files in U-disk easily. The feasibility of the data storage system design has been verified by lithium batteryperformance test, writing speed test of U disk and file management test.
