With the emergence of the new technology including the Internet, mobile communication, and the wide usage of computer technology, the Human-Computer Interaction technique, which has been developed for over20years, now has become one of the most popular subjects of science. The focus of Interaction technique is on the communication and experience of human with computers. Nowadays the research on the idea of Human-Computer Interaction technique aims to construct a harmonious environment for the human interaction experience, and service for human is set as the basis of the techniquedevelopment. Therefore the user interface is being developed to be more humanized and intellectual. One part of this development is the design of the user interface for handwriting, the research of which is becomingmore and more comprehensive and the appliance of which is becoming more popular. The word input is crucial for the products of modern interfacedesign, because for most equipment, the human operation can be realized through not only buttons with pre-set orders, but also, and more importantly, word input. Such working method based on paper and pen is in accordance with the way people think, thus is an efficient method for people to capture information and express ideas during the history of human civilization. This article endeavors to research on the application of Chinese calligraphy in the design of handwriting-based interaction from the perspective of modern interactiondesign. By looking into the structuralfeature of Chinese calligraphy, this article explains the way to improve the application of handwriting in the Human-Computer Interaction interface, to facilitate the communication between human and Computer in a safe and interesting way, and meanwhile to apply the Chinese Calligraphy more profoundly in modern life with new media.
