In order to meet the broadband needs of the future communication systems, in the driven of this demand,3GPP(the Third Generation Partnership Project) has began to research the next generation mobile communication system-LTE(Long Term Evolution) on the basis of the third generation communication system, and China has launched the next generation mobile communication system-TD-LTE. LTE is a wireless communication system which provides lower transmission delaying, higher data rate, wider bandwidth and better QoS (quality of service).In this paper, it mainly studies the power control algorithm of LTE system. First, it has a detailed description of the basic knowledge of communication, such as the development of communication system, the structure of LTE system, OFDM and MIMO. Second, the uplink power control algorithm of LTE is introduced. Furthermore, it describes a classic closed power control algorithm which is based on the target SINR (signal interface noise ratio), and it gives a new algorithm in this paper based on the classic algorithm. The classic algorithm didn’t consider the interference of multi-cell system. In this paper, the new algorithm takes consideration of the interference between cells, and with the frequency reuse factor1, it improved the bit rate of whole cells. Through the simulation, it proves that the new algorithm can not noly decrease the interference between different cells, but alse increase the data bit rate of the cells.
