As a sensing technology, distributed optical fiber sensing emerged in recent years, with the advantages of long distance monitoring, adapting to complicated environment, it’s applications range is geting wider, especially in the power system. DTS system has realized commercialization in power sys-tem with its advantages, and the market is gradually expanding as well. This paper mainly studies the realization of key algorithms and the development of software of DTS system.Firstly, the theory of distributed optical fiber temperature sensor with Raman scattering is studied, and the coding method which gives can enhance to the signal peak and denoising method is given, which could lift the accura-cy of temperature measurement.Secondly, the construction of cable is discussed. The calculation of core temperature as well as the current-carrying capacity is given. With the param-eters of the selected power cable, the result is given.Thirdly, the structure of the DTS system software based with the spe-cific needs is discussed. Several parts, including the local side driven program, the system data analysis part, the network part, the graphical display part, the map monitoring part as well as the database module are developed and intro-duced in detail.Finally, this paper attempts to modify the laying method of DTS system. The improvement to the accuracy to the system with this method is proved in theory.
