The research of wildlife tracking has become increasingly important for protecting species of wildlife. The technologies of tracking wildlife that have been wildly used are Satellite-tracking system, radio-tracking system and Radio-frequency identification (RFID) technology. Although the efficiency of tracking based on these technologies has been increased,they still have some disadvantages. Satellite-tracking system lacks real-time property because it cannot achieve real time transmission alone. The operation of radio-tracking system remain unchanged which cannot meet the property of movement of wildlife and it is waste of electric. RFID is mainly used for collecting dynamic information in a fixed range. In order to solve those problems, firstly, this paper proposed a system of wildlife tracking and detecting that based on900MHz wireless communication and GPS system. Secondly, in order to solve insufficient supply of power, this paper proposed another method that combine solar and lithium battery that can improve the endurance of equipment. Thirdly, Cloud storage service which can improve the properties of reliability and real-time is used to save data. Last, based on mobile internet technology, APP is designed to improve the real-time property of wildlife tracking.This paper realized the long-distance communication between the ter minal nodes and the base station, the relay communications between the t erminal nodes, and the system can achieve the ad hoc networks and have stable operation with the low-power. Test results show that the terminal c an run lasting seven days under two battery of5th, and the functions of th e system can be run properly.
