Contents With the continuous development of embedded technology, electronic measurement technology has become a very popular domain and the production of electronic equipment and devices has developed into an independent industry of quite large scale. In recent years, in order to measure the components of gas, projects that combine embedded technology with microcomputer emerge in endlessly, but the systems of most of them are very complicated and huge. In consequence, we could see the necessarily of designing a simple, practical measurement system by using the embedded technology.After a careful research of today’s microprocessor chips both at home and abroad, we finally choose the ARM chip MK60DN512ZVLL10of Freescale semiconductor company, whose acquisition accuracy has reached sixteen bits. This paper designed a complete gas measurement program, by using semiconductor laser device to measure the components of gas. The hardware circuit of this program includes:the isolated power supply module whose output voltage could be minimized to5volt and power output less than2watt; the simulation interface circuit, which enable the connection between the page control block and computer by using J-Link V8emulator; the temperature acquisition and control module, which control the inner temperature of the semiconductor laser at25℃and an error less than0.5℃; the RS-485communication module, which ensure the communication with the upper computer; the Ethernet transmission module and display module, which gives us the realization of the Ethernet frame recieving and sending fonction. In the meanwhile, we compile the software under the Embedded Workbench software ARM6.30environment and redact a program for the upper computer.Among the characteristic features of the gas measurement system designed in this paper, fast sampling, high accuracy, and good stability are the three most significant.
