This design can make the layout plan meet the use function characteristics of objects and improve the utilization rate of space. Based on the different objects of study, the ship layout design can be divided into two categories:the first category is the layout design of furniture or equipments and the second category is the layout design of pipe or cable. This article will discuss the intelligent layout design method from these two aspects.This article will take the layout design of ship cabin as an example to discuss the method for the first kind of ship layout design. Based on the characteristics of cabin layout design and related criterion, the mathematical model of ship cabin layout design is set up. Then use energy method to evaluate the layout design and use the niche genetic algorithm to obtain the feasible layout design. At last, by comparing the effective space rate of each design, the optimal layout design is obtained.This article will take the ship pipe layout design as an example to discuss the method for the second kind of ship layout design. Based on the characteristics of ship pipe layout design and related criterion, the pipe layout space model which includes cabin model, obstruction model, pipe model and layout area model is proposed in this article. Based on the characteristics of the ship pipe, the pipe intelligent layout direction guidance mechanism is set up and the direction parameter is proposed. Based on this space model and direction guidance mechanism, the improved genetic algorithm is used to solve the pipe layout problem. The simulation tests show that this approach proposed by authors is feasible and valid. At the same time, the ship pipe routing optimization is combinatorial optimization problem with performance constraints. Its main difficulties lie in computing complexity, engineering complexity and practical application complexity. It is difficult to solve the problem just by using the computer intelligence. A design method for ship pipe routing optimization in three-dimensional based on human-computer cooperation is put forward in this article. The artificial individuals (manual solution) and algorithm individuals (algorithm solution) will be combined with each other at the level of the evolutionary algorithm gene in the design method. This method could make full use of the advantages of the designer and computer which could ease the computational complexity and the engineering complexity and guide the algorithms to get the stable solutions effectively. Finally, the simulation tests show that this method put forward in this article is feasible and valid.
