With the economic and social development, the traffic conditions of the city became increasingly strained. Public transport plays a key role in saving energy, reducing exhaust noise, environmental protection, reduce urban road space occupied. At the same time along with the support of the National12th Five-Year Plan for public transport and green low-carbon living concepts continued to deepen, especially the arrival of the3G era, mobile broadband communication technology continues to mature and develop. Using intelligent terminals such as Iphone and Android become a sign of people into the mobile Internet. So developing a mobile intelligent public transportation query system based on3G has important practical meaning in life.In this paper, combined with the actual life, analyses the passenger’s travel psychology and travel behavior, then the bus network site, line characteristic analysis and establish public traffic network model.According to the specific needs of the passengers and bus network characteristics for system design and implementation. First conducted a system requirements analysis, followed by the overall design and specific design of each sub-module, then the bus database design and implementation are described, also the bus algorithm specific algorithm definition and detailed implementation process. Finally proposes a resource oriented architecture based on Rest style Web Services Bus Inquiry System.Client based on Android platform using the Java language for development, the server uses the lightweight Nutz framework for Web service development, MySql as the main storage database. Client-side and server-side follows the MVC design pattern, using Eclipse for development, clearly structured code structure. Client and server-side data exchange using lightweight JSON data format, to improve the data transmission speed and UI response speed. Combined with A-GPS positioning technology and the Google map to achieve real-time location, acquires self-positional information and immediately show on the map. System support site, line, transfer’s inquiry, landmark buildings query, fuzzy query, providing users with an intuitive, convenient, bus route information and the best transfer information in real time, and then get rid of the space and time constraints of traditional public transport queries.Finally the system have a detailed testing, the interface and function module meets the system requirement, Friendly interface, fully functional, basically solved the problem of passengers during the move, anytime, anywhere access to public transport information. Meet the demand of passengers traveling on public transportation information acquisition.
