With the development of Internet technology and the improvement of living standards, peoplepay more and more attention to the safety problems in the living environment. Embedded videomonitoring system has the advantages of low power consumption, high integration, low price andso on, for the area we are concerned, it can realize the real-time monitoring well and meet theincreasing demand for monitoring in production and life.In this paper, using OMAP as the processing core of the hardware platform, on this basis, itmainly completed the design of the camera hardware module, using CSI2-A as the interface ofcamera to improve the quality of the picture. Set up development environment to build crosscompiler environment of embedded systems on the host, complete the transplantation of bootloaderand linux kernel. Write camera capture driver in order to achieve the basic control of the cameramodule and local monitoring of embedded system on this basis. To reduce the amount of data andsave the cyber source bandwidth, using the method of H.264to compress the picture, the opensource algorithm of FFMPEG is used to implemente the specific coding. Packaging the NAL unitwith RTP for the video stream obtained from compression, when a single NALU is greater thanMTU, in order to avoid large amounts of data packets fragment caused by data segmentation in IPlayer and reduce the loss of packet, using the mode of FU to cut the data up when packaging withRTP, it has been improved of the system performance.In this paper, the key compression moduleand video transmission modules are tested,Through the contrast before and after the compression,the rate of compression reached1.72%and ultimately achieve a real-time transmission of videosurveillance, through experiment and the real-time transmission of video surveillance systemsproved good performance with high reliability ultimately.
