LTE is3GPP long term evolution, compatible with current3G communication systems andthe evolution of3G. It has the characteristics of high transmission rate, high quality and highmobility.3GPP write a research framework of long term evolution in the work plan, and putforward to the instantaneous peak downlink and uplink50Mbps100Mbps target in20MHzbandwidth on the future. The biggest characteristic of wireless communication is its mobilitycontrol, for the mobile terminal in the network side between different cells, the need for real-timemonitoring and control of UE at the appropriate time command UE switching cross district, inorder to maintain the business continuity. In order not to affect the user service, handoff processto ensure the success rate of switching and switching delay, if there is failure, will seriouslyaffect the user experience.This thesis describes expounds and analyses the basic principle and system structure of LTEmobility management, introduces random access and RE elements and mechanism, focus on thesame frequency and different frequency switching trigger switch, decision-making,implementation process. The new optimization in LTE the basis of massive practice, summarizesthe key points and parameters optimization process. This thesis introduces the encounter,adjacent areas covered, switching in practical application in the problem, and the solution andmeasures.
