The Study About Flat Style Interface Design Of Internet Products Based On User Experience

With the development of flat style of internet product such as Windows8, iOS7and iOS8, flat design as a design style has become the trend of interface design for internet product. It refers to the pursuit of simple design without simulation effect. The flat means not only the flat of visual effect, but also the flat of information level. In fact, it’s not completely contrary to skeuomorphic design which aims at simulating the real objects. Under the rapid development of internet, how to satisfy users’ experience by applying flat design has become an extremely meaningful topic.From the point of visual and interactive interface design, this study systematically analyzes the flat style interface design of internet products in detail, as well as summarizes the pro and cons of flat design and provides some practical suggestions on the application of its target products and users. On this basis, the study combines three elements (Structure, Skeleton and Surface) of user experience theory which is related to flat design with three steps of interface design (interaction design, information design and visual design), and arrives at three perspective to do the research. The present study standing from perspective of users’ sensory experience, behavior experience and emotional experience, proposes some practical design advices of flat design. It not only theoretically discusses the characteristic and methodology of flat style interface design for internet products, but also illustrates some examples. This study could be a theoretical foundation for future research.Designers can use simple graphical elements, bold color, clear layout to make modern visual experience for users. At the same time, designers optimize information structure and interaction details in order to create a comfortable, convenient user interactive experience. By this way, designers achieve the flat design. Flat design is a result of the development of internet product interface design, but its shortcomings still exist. With the progress of science, technology and the change of human needs, the future will be more diversified. Designers will continue exploring a better combination of form and function to enhance the user experience, which will makes the product more suitable for human habits and emotional needs both in the visual presentation and interactive mode field.
