With the development of science and technology, the large mechanical system will be more and more widely applied in industrial deparments. So the synchronization requirement of mechanical systems has also attracted more attention, such as vibration synchronization control synchronization, etc. The external load disturbance and changes in the work environment can directly influence the speed of motors. While speed and phase are important working parameters to the motor, and also important to other technical parameters. Therefore, it is significant to grasp phase and speed of multiple motors accurately for control and design of multi-motor systems.This paper designs a card of speed and phase synchronization detection for multiple-motor systems, which can acquire simultaneously signals of18channels. The detection card is connected to a computer by a PCL-836card. A reference clock signal is provided for hardware testing system by the PCL-836card. Rotational speed and phase detecting hardware is achieved by timer/counter (twelve8254chips) developed by Intel. The three bus of the card are formed by16digital output ports and8digital input ports of the PCL-836card.Among them, the data bus are constructed by8digital output ports and8digital input ports through a set of three state gates. The address bus is constructed by6digital output ports throught a74HC154chip and the read write control bus is made of2digital output ports through a74HC139chip. The input interface circuit of18photoelectric coders consists of long distance driving receivers and high speed photoelectric isolation devices. The speed detection can be achieved by means of a photoelectric coder or a phase detector, which can be controlled by a special selection control circuit on the card. After the detection, a signal of the interrupt control circuit is input to the computer though the PCL-836card.Based on PCL-836card driver and the principle of the detecting system, the system software is developed by using Visual C++6. The data collected by the card are transmitted to the computer through PCL-836. Then the phase-speed synchronous detection for the Multi-motor system is conducted.The detection system designed has the advantages of multiple functions, more channels, and more ways. It can make selection according to the number and the actual speed range of motors, which effectively improve the detection accuracy and the adaptability of the system; The system is of many characteristics, such as advance, good use, short detection cycle, accurate and reliable, and with strong controllability, so it application has very broad prospects.
