D2D (Device-to-Device) communication is a hot research spot of the next generationcommunication technology, which can greatly improve the performance of the cellular network.However, the interference between cellular users and D2D users will affect the performance of D2Dsystem. The reduction of interference through network coding techniques is studied in this thesis.Firstly, the feasibility and the detailed process of network coding in D2D communication systemare researched in this thesis. Then the performance of the D2D system with the assistance ofnetwork coding is analyzed. The performance improvement of the D2D system is varified bysimulation results.Secondly, the MIMO network coding technology is studied in this thesis. This thesis focuses onthe analysis of the capacity and outage probability and gives the detailed theoretical derivation ofthe formulas, which are verified by MATLAB simulations. The simulation results show that thecapacity improves greatly and the outage probability drops effectively with the introduction of thenetwork coding technology. It has a significant impact in the improvement of system performance.Finally, with consideration of many idle users in cellular cell, the scene with multiple idle userstreated as relays is researched. The network coding under the circumstance of multiplerelay-assisted D2D system is analyzed detailly in this thesis. The simulation results show that thesystem performances can be further improved with the increase of reliable relay nodes.
