ABSTRACT:Providing communication reliability and high data transfer rates for a large amount of mobile users is a challenge for the next-generation mobile communications system. In wireless cellular network, multipath fading impact on communication performance significantly. Cooperative diversity allows a collection of radio terminals which relay signals for each other to emulate an antenna array and exploit spatial diversity to combat multipath fading. However, more frequency resources have to be used. As a result, network coding technique is used to utilize cooperative relays more efficiently. Cooperative network-coding has drawn significant attentions recently. In cooperative network-coding system, the diversity gain and network coding gain is achieved at the cost of the total power consumption of source and relay nodes. So, it is meaningful to consider the power allocation problem between sources and relay nodes. In this paper, the optimal power allocation schemes for cooperative network-coding system that maximize the system capacity or minimize the system outage probability are mainly studied.Firstly, with constraint of the total power of source nodes, the paper discuss and analysis the power allocation scheme to maximize system capacity, when digital network coding(DNC) protocol or analog network coding(ANC) protocol is used in the relay. Then, the capacity performance of DNC and ANC is compared through Monte Carlo simulation.Secondly, with constraint of the total power of source and relay nodes, three power allocation schemes to minimize the system outage probability are studied in detail, when the relay node apply repetition cooperative strategy, deterministic network coding strategy and opportunistic network coding strategy. An iterative search strategy based on convex optimization theory to get the optimal set is used and the outage performance of three relay strategies is compared through MATLAB simulation. This paper also adopt a non-dedicated relay selection scheme that minimizes the outage probability based on the outage performance analyze of opportunistic network coding strategy.
