With the rapid development of the Internet of Things (Internet of Things, IoT), more and moreIoT Service needs to access data from multiple databases, however, there is a big differencebetween databases in physical or logical. Only using traditional approach, it is difficult for IoTService to get more, newer and comprehensive dataTo solve the above problems, it is necessarily tostudy and implement a unified database management in IoT.The main work is as follows:First, based on the requirements of IoT Service, combining USPIOT(Ubiquitous ServicePlatform for Internet of Things), proposed a unified XML-based database management mechanismframework of IoT.The framework comprising: parallel query processing module, updatingprocessing module, resulting processing module, wrapper and database connection managementmodule.Each module is done in collaboration to manage unified database, first of all, parallel queryprocessing module and update processing module receives and processes the IOT Service request;then, the wrapper execution request with the assistance of the database connection managementmodule, and submitted the result set to results processing module; Finally, the results processingmodule returned the processed result set to IoT Service.Second,according to the problem of low level exactness in relational database query, aranking algorithm based on contents and non-key attributes for object-level keyword search overrelational databases is proposed. By proposed global query strategy and algorithm, it achievedglobal query mapping which solved the problem of global query decomposition. At the same time,it designed a unified XML-based database management mechanism. The process involves changeof data schema, register of heterogeneous databases, global query mapping implementationgs,unified database management middleware implementations. In the changing process of data schema,solve the data conflict in schema mapping, generate XML documents of data in relational database,generates XML Schema and establish metadata of model mapping.Third, using Java programming language, JDOM, and database connection pool technology toachieve a unified database management mechanism framework of IoT, which is also called aunified XML-based database management system. Combination of USPIOT, by using Oracle andMySQL, this database management is proved validated.The results show that the system is able toshield the heterogeneity of underlying database, to achieve unified management of IoT database.
