Production indices are very important to non-renewable mineral raw materials resource utilization efficiency, production quality and economic benefits of enterprises for mineral processing. It is difficult to ensure the production indicators are all in optimal conditions with manual operation, because the working conditions change frequently, the parameters are time-varying and the key production indices cannot be real-time online detected in ore dressing process. This thesis is about the research and development of a production indices multi-objective optimization and decision-making software for five production indices, which include the concentrate grade, the beneficiation ratio, the metal recovery, the production cost and the concentrate yield It provides a powerful tool for the production indices optimization and decision-making for mineral processing, which is of great research significance and practical value.This thesis takes the mineral processing of a large hematite concentration plant as background, and which is supported by national basic research and development program of China (973Program, NO.2009CB320604) undertaken by the State Key Laboratory of Synthetical Automation for Process Industries. Research and development a production indices multi-objective optimization and decision-making software for mineral processing, which combines with the object of production indices optimization for the ore dressing process to solve the problem of the production management and decision-making process. It is verified that the software is correct and effectives through the experiment on the semi-physical experimental platform of plant-wide production process control systems. The main contents of the thesis are as follows:(1) Based on the production processes and the issues encountered in the production indices optimizing process for enterprise’s decision making, this thesis presents the requirements of production indices multi-objective optimization and decision-making software through analysis of the characteristics of the multi-objective optimization model and G-NSGA-II optimization algorithm.(2) The production indices multi-objective optimization and decision-making software is researched and developed in this thesis. In the beginning, the software structure, functionalities, interactive interfaces and algorithm modules are designed in terms of the functional and performance requirements. Then, the function, interface and algorithm module of the software are developed according to the design scheme of the software.(3) The correctness and effectiveness of G-NSGA-Ⅱ and decision-making software is verified on the semi-physical simulation platform of plant-wide production process control systems. First, the correctness and effectiveness of G-NSGA-Ⅱ algorithm is verified by the optimization of multiple global and plant-wide production indices. Then, functions of the software are tested on the semi-physical simulation platform and the result shows that the software is able to achieve the objective of the production indices optimization and decision-making for mineral processing.
