The material quality of engineering construction affects the level of engineering qualitydirectly, so the quality detection of engineering construction materials is an important step ofthe construction engineering. The automation of detection, storage and query for engineeringconstruction materials have not been fully realized heretofore. However, with the rapiddevelopment of information and automation technology, information technology has beensuccessfully applied in more and more industries. But there are still many work ofconstruction material quality monitoring which are completed through paper files. It not onlyincreases the burden of staff, but also affects the efficiency and precision of monitoring, thus amonitoring management system that can implement the construction material qualityautomatic monitoring process is urgently needed.The data acquisition system of construction material quality monitoring includes twoparts: the slave machine data collector and PC data management software, one PC datamanagement software can monitor and manage several slave machine data collectors at thesame time. The C8051F060MCU is used as the control core of slave machine data collector.The sampling precision can be greatly improved by the two16-bit analog to digital convertersof C8051F060MCU. The PC data management software is developed based on VC++platform. In this paper, the design and implementation steps of the slave machine datacollector and PC data management software are detailed described. Firstly, the design ofhardware architecture and function modules of slave machine data collector is introduced.Secondly the design of specific function modules is described, including data acquisitionmodule industrial Ethernet module, keyboard and display module, monostable flip-flopmodule, the communication program with host machine through serial port and Ethernet andso on. Thirdly, the program design of data collector is introduced, which includes keyboardprogram, display program, sensor calibration, AD collection procedures and communicationprogram with host machine through serial port and Ethernet. Finally, the program design of host data management is also detailed described, which consists of three parts: the pressurecurve drawing program, the communication program with slave machine through serial portand Ethernet, the storage, query, update, and delete procedures of experimental data inMYSQL database. In addition, this paper puts forward a fleetly method of using MYSQLdatabase, serial port class, multithreading Ethernet communication class and NTGraph2DPlotting control from the perspective of engineering application.The automation of collection, storage and query for materials quality monitoring dataacquisition system is realized by the coordination of slave machine data collector and PC datamanagement software. The practice shows that the design and development process of thissystem is thoroughly suitable for rapid establishment of construction materials qualitydetection management system.
