With the rapid development of network technology, a variety of services on the Internet such as video, electronic commerce, social networking, grow up fast in recent years. In order to meet the demand of the network application, researchers of network technology have to add a variety of complex protocols to the existing network equipment, to improve the capability and of the network’s control and forwarding. However, the complexity and giant of network protocols to the network has been unable to continue with the current trends, in this case, OpenFlow based on the software defined network emerged. OpenFlow realizes the separation between control and forwarding, all of the modification in forwarding logic can be carried out in the controller and reflect in the switch. OpenFlow’s flexible and efficient forwarding, make it an important branch in the future network development.With the various equipment manufacturers pay more attention to the OpenFlow equipment, OpenFlow equipments emerge in an endless stream. But at the same time, interoperability testing of OpenFlow devices has not come into standardization and systematization. This paper mainly focuses on the research of OpenFlow interoperability testing, analyzing the interoperability needs, processes, models and testing sets of OpenFlow, got the corresponding solutions. By performing some important tests on OpenFlow, we got data to revise the solutions.This paper is divided into5chapters:The first chapter gives an overview of SDN/OpenFlow technology, as well as the significance of the test in OpenFlow interworking; The Second chapter, describes the technology of SDN/OpenFlow, the development of OpenFlow interoperability testing and the and analyzes the OpenFlow interoperability testing’s demand; The third chapter gives the OpenFlow interoperability testing process based on LISI, designs the OpenFlow interoperability testing model and carried out the test case sets; The fourth chapter makes representative test cases of packet_in and packet_out, LLDP topology discovery which based on the third chapter and analysis the interoperability of OpenFlow devices; The fifth chapter summarizes the whole paper, summarizes OpenFlow interoperability and prospect the future of OpenFlow.
