In. LTE-A(Advanced) system, to improve the performance of cell edge users has become one of the main directions of research, and Coordinated Multi-Point(CoMP) is the key technology to solve this problem.In CoMP system, the most commonly used scheduling algorithm is the Proportional Fair(PF) scheduling. In addition to the PF algorithm, there are many scheduling algorithm worthy of study. In the CoMP scheduling architecture, either centralized global scheduling or distributed local scheduling is adopted. These two methods have their own advantages and disadvantages, and can be combined in the system implementation. In the current study and Simulation of CoMP, the most frequently used traffic model is Full Buffer model, this model does not exist in reality, so we can not ignore other real traffic models.The main content of this thesis is the further research on the above areas. First of all, two scheduling algorithms are put forward from the perspectives of maximizing the CoMP system spectrum efficiency and the best trade-off between fairness and efficiency under Full Buffer traffic model. Secondly, a general collaboration relationship management model which consider both centralized global scheduling and distributed local scheduling is proposed and a feasible cooperation scheme is presented. Thirdly, this thesis simulates the CoMP performance under different scheduling algorithms using FTP(standing for bursty traffic), VoIP(standing for real-time traffic) and FTP-VoIP mixed traffic model. Finally, in view of the existing research and the problems found in the previous step, a novel MAC layer resource management and scheduling scheme which considers the real traffic features, HARQ features and CoMP gain is proposed, the superiority of this new scheme is proved by the corresponding simulation results.The work of this thesis can provide more practical solutions for the realization of LTE-A network.
