In order to suppress the inter-cell interference and improve the performance in LTE system, coordinated multiple-point transmission and reception (CoMP) has been adopted by3GPP. With the development of standardization, CoMP is applied in heterogeneous scenario. There are many differences between homogeneous scenario and heterogeneous scenario, for example, interference suffered from users, transmission scheme and resource allocation. This thesis evaluates and analyzes the performance gain of CoMP in heterogeneous scenario. Moreover, a resource scheduling method and an interference coordination scheme are proposed in this thesis. The main research contents are summarized as follows:According to the requirements of CoMP performance evaluation in heterogeneous scenario for3GPP standardization, the system-level simulation platforms of CoMP are established and the detailed system-level simulations are evaluated for CoMP. Firstly, the interference of CoMP in heterogeneous scenario is analyzed. Then, the thesis evaluates the performance of CoMP in different transmission schemes. Different sizes of coordination cluster and different antenna configuration are simulated in every transmission scheme. The simulation results prove that CoMP can obtain considerable performance gain in terms of both cell average spectral efficiency and cell edge spectral efficiency.Due to the application of CoMP in heterogeneous scenario, the complexity of resource allocation is increased significantly. When time-frequency resource is scheduled, the scheduling relevancy exists between different users in the same coordination cluster. This thesis proposes a time-frequency resource scheduling scheme, which is suitable for CoMP system in heterogeneous scenario. In the scheme, both user fairness and the throughput of coordination cluster are considered. According to a combination optimization algorithm, the most appropriate scheduling mode is selected and the system performance is improved.For CoMP in heterogeneous scenario, there are more cells in the coordination cluster, so the interference types are increased. In order to further decrease the inter-cell interference, this thesis proposes an interference coordination scheme based on dynamic point blanking (DPB). CoMP and enhanced inter-cell interference coordination (eICIC) are combined and three DPB modes are listed in this scheme. According to some principles, the most suitable DPB mode is selected and the corresponding resource blocks are muted. Consequently, the inter-cell interference is restrained and the cell edge throughput is enhanced.
