In the information age, research on information security has been a continuing concern and attention. With the higher requirements for communication security and reliability, related theories have been rapidly developed. Information hiding, cryptography and covert communication are important research fields of information security branch. In these areas, new techniques and application requirements are constantly emerging. As the same time, with the rapid development of communication technologies, new problems, new restrictions, new perspectives are also gradually appeared, the developments of technology are not limited to the original definitions.Covert communication is to covert the presence of communication, and has great values and applications in military communications and secure communications. With the in-depth study of covert communication, more and more scholars will limit the scope of its research on the hidden of transmitted information, which will gradually reduce the covert communication research on the broad range. This paper focuses on the spectrum covert communication to hide the spread spectrum communication system in a FM communication system, and the paper completes the following tasks:Firstly, created a system model on hiding the spread spectrum communication system in a FM communication system, hiding implementations are given in the covert communication system on the basis of theoretical research.Secondly, to insure the invisibility and robustness of the communication system, the key issues to achieve covert communication in FM systems are studied. The paper gives specific technical solutions and algorithms.Once more, the paper proposes the program and detailed algorithm of eliminating interference by recovering other signals in the system, which achieves the spread spectrum demodulation at low SNR.Finally, through matlab simulations, the paper verifies the system performance of covert communication in FM, and implements the whole system on the software defined radio platform.
