Network coding have been proposed since2000. It brought a breakthrough to communication. It has broken the traditional concept that routing only stores-and-forwards received information simply. It improves the system throughput by the way that relay node will process received information using linear or nonlinear encoding and then forward it. Earlier research of network coding is in the stage of theoretical research. It did not apply the technology of network coding in actual but the proposal of COPE scheme and experiment in the test bed produced huge infuence in the practical application of network coding.COPE scheme successfully applying network coding into actual multicast network, and the gain COPE obtains includes coding gain and coding+MAC gain. Multicast network uses COPE scheme to encode many packets and pseudo broadcasts, so as to improve the network throughput. COPE scheme is excellent in the increasing of the number of coded packets. By the saving of network transmission that the way a number of packets are transferred in one time brings, the throughput of the network is improved a lot. However, COPE scheme limits the requirement that nodes encode data packets, which in turn limits the system throughput and brings the bottleneck of network performance optimization. In order to solve this problem, this paper proposes an evolved scheme(we call it ECOPE) based on COPE. By analyzing a common topology in networks, COPE lowers limit in encoding packets, increases the chance that packets in the output queue are encoded, accelerates the number of packets encoded, reduces transmissions per packet needs, and thus improves network throughput. In the meantime, by changing the number of output queue, we find the relationship of output queue and packets transport costs and take advantage of this to cut down the cost, and thus further improve the network system throughput and optimize the netword performance.
