Satellite Direct as an important way of data transmission, compared to the terrestrial cable, terrestrial wireless data transmission has many outstanding advantages. Satellite television broadcast in Europe and other foreign countries have entered a mature stage of large-scale applications. Along with the development of satellite technology and the country’s comprehensive national strength, we already have the ability to carry out satellite television broadcast. In2008, Star on the ChinaSat9satellite launch marks the era of satellite television broadcast. And used in satellite television broadcast system is downconverted satellite television broadcast throughout an indispensable part. We can predict that this down-conversion system, whether at home or abroad will have a huge market demand, business prospects. In this paper, Star on the9th satellite television broadcast system, the development of a miniaturized, low noise Ku to L-band down-conversion system, first introduced this whole system works downconversion and technical indicators. Then, follow the low-noise amplifiers, filters, inverter circuit three parts for each module principle, technical specifications and design methods are described, and using Agilent’s ADS simulation software simulation for each module. Finally, the paper describes the power bias circuit design and layout using Protel software rendering, processing of objects, through the instrument of the entire test system noise and down-conversion gain. Test results show that the work required frequency band, down conversion system noise figure, gain good indicators, system performance is s’uperior.In this thesis research is divided into the following areas: Chapter One:From Ku to L-band satellite communications system downconversion research background and significance, describes the Ku to L-band down conversion system concepts, principles, and domestic and international developments and the status quo.Chapter II:The effect of low-noise amplifier circuit design, design for Ku-band to L-band down conversion system’s low noise amplifier using ADS software and its specific design optimization.Chapter III:The effect of RF filter circuit design, design for Ku-band to L-band down-conversion system microstrip bandpass filter, and has a good image rejection.Chapter IV:The effect of media programs and integrated mixer oscillator frequency downconversion two kinds of down conversion circuit scheme, and designed for Ku-band to L-band frequency down conversion system circuits and DC bias circuit. Chapter V:According to the aforementioned findings, completed the Ku-band to L-band down conversion system schematic drawing, processing and overall test.
