With the continuous development in enterprise and constantly improving in jobrequirements, the information level in enterprise must be advance with it. Through manyyears’ information construction, enterprises have established various information systemsgradually to support their operations. However the difficulties in terms of information sharingand exchange among every department and between superior and subordinate have beencaused due to the different specialized information systems are served in differentmanagement directions. While these systems were set up in different periods, multipleinformation isolated islands have been formed. With regard to the above situations, theenterprise needs to establish its information portal with unified regulations and concentrateddeployment. And the information resources in the company could be reorganized by virtue ofthe enterprise’s information portal, so unified authentication to users and integration to allkinds of information could be realized, synergetic work efficiency could also be enhanced.Meanwhile by establishing the information portal, value chain resources during upper andlower processes in the group could be integrated, integration application to the system couldbe met. By expanding the information showing pattern and visiting channel, information levelcould be promoted, which will provide visual show for enterprise to operate and manage,establish unified search service, as well as boost ability of information acquisition.In view of the above situation and requirement, it is urgently needed to design andresearch application integration and information portal in a company. It is hoped that theintegration information platform to be established step by step with the help of advancedintegrated technology. It is assured that the aim of this project is building an integratedplatform which could be able to provide multiple-layer for all kinds of informationmanagement systems in the whole company. We did a detailed investigation and analysis toevery information system no matter from under-operation or under-construction.This paper established an information system with unified regulation and highlyintegration through in-depth exploration and research to information portal system in acompany. On this basis, by utilizing the most mature software on the market and middlewarefor commerce which originated from organizing to implement information portal by severalstages that planned. This building pattern could solve the problems of “information isolated island” and expensive cost of “application integration” which are existing during informationconstruction. The public information model integrated the one that was lacking of planningwhile with blind construction in the early stage. It transforms information construction to thepresent integrated management from the separate development in the past that lacked ofplanning. And it lays solid foundation to change to data integration from applicationintegration, which makes the construction of information system deeply process to“management construction with data-oriented” from “management construction withfunction-oriented”. The information construction is striding forward to “data integration”from “application integration” as well.
