With the rapid development of information technology, the research of space science, has become a data-intensive activities increasingly, and the communication for large-scale data network needs a real-time, continuous and stable transmission. As communications transmission network for ground support systems of the space satellites which is on science research, it requires multiple network service providers to achieve interoperability, joint provision of end to end cross-border connections with bandwidth guarantee and extends as far as possible to the wide distribution equipment terminal domestic and international. According to the network scale, the structure, access methods and services provided, the effect of any uncertainty could cause serious consequences in the orbiting control and observation missions of the satellites. Therefore, protection of ground support systems for space science satellites communications network to be flow, stability and security is particularly urgent and important.In this thesis, we focus on the ground support systems for space science satellites communications network, and research on the risk during the satellites run. Through the thesis, risk management theory is the basic point, and the risk analysis is the main line. Starting from the network system of the OSI reference model, the risk factors of terrestrial communications network are identified preliminary, and through causal method, the risk factors identified in depth, where there are three major categories, and thirteen risk factors in the various subsystems. According to its characteristics, causes, risk factors are inducted, and the framework for risk identification is constructed. Combining expert investigation method, AHP and fuzzy evaluation method, and making risk assessment on the ground communications network support system, benchmarks, indicators and models in risk factor assessment are established, and possible risks and losses in the risk are assessed. Finally, measures are proposed in reducing network operational risk, and effective risk management is realized in the ground support systems for space science communication network. This study is an risk management exploration during the communication network, aiming at bringing the general approach of risk management and related technology in the field of operation protection and maintenance of scientific research network, and improved service support levels in space science satellites ground support system network. In the meanwhile, to provide a useful reference for scientific data communication network security system.
