The Plan And Construction Design Of Digital Campus

Informatization is the general trend of social development today. The rapiddevelopment of information technology makes a major change in the way of education;education is facing the most profound change ever, which is EducationalInformatization. Educational Informatization which based on multimedia technologyand network communication technology, and its purpose is to strengthen theconstruction of digital campus in order to carry forward the realization of campusnetwork, office automation and teaching informatization. Currently, due to the lack ofeffective planning and forward-looking of the project at the beginning of the digitalconstruction, domestic colleges and universities fail to effectively combine their owncharacteristics with their teaching demand. These colleges have invested a lot ofmanpower and material and other limited resources, but each application running on thedigital campus platform is isolated from each other; education cannot really achievecomprehensive informatizaton.This paper introduces the digital campus constructions domestic and overseas,research status, construction trends and construction modes. Combining internal andexternal needs of digital campus construction at our Caotang Campus and analyzing through a lot of research, clearly proposes guiding concept, construction objectives andprinciples of digital campus planning and construction at Caotang Campus. Second,systematically explains the basic platform of digital campus construction, applicationsystem construction and other programs.I participated in the digital campus and relative construction at Caotang Campus ofXi’an University of Architecture and Technology, raised related discussion andsuggestions aiming at problems during the building process. Hopefully these discussescould continually promote the information technology construction in our university,truly make use of advanced information technology means and tools, uniformly andscientifically organize and manage all the information resource of physical campus,expand the dimension of time and space of physical campus.
