Traditional methods always use to control Combined Integrating System, such as PID control,Smith predictor control, internal model control, Fuzzy-PID control, Anti-Delay pseudo PI controll.All control methods have achieved good effect. Combined Integrating System, althoughwidespread in control domain, has not attracted the majority of engineer and technical concern.Most researchers focus on control strategy of combined integrating system, very few people focuson other applications. Low-pass filtering essence of combined integrating process was analyzed inthe paper. Low-pass, high-pass and band-pass filter was designed based on the combinedintegrating process. The application of combined integrating process and predictive PI controlalgorithm in tobacco drying moisture control system indicates that the stability of the system canbe better analyzed. From theory research to engineering practice, the main content includes thefollowing two parts:(1) Low-pass, high pass, band pass filter designLow-pass, high-pass, band pass filter design method was proprosed based on the low-passfilter principle of the combined integrating process. Confirm the filter parameter selectionprinciple and analyzes its relative advantages to the digital filter.(2) Application of predictive PI control algorithm and combined integrating processThe precision of moisture content of output can only be controlled in the range of±5%because of the periodic disturbance in tobacco process. The application of combined integratingprocess and predictive PI control algorithm in tobacco drier control system show that the precisionof moisture content of output can be controlled within the range of±0.3%. The system’s beforeand after overshoot comparison highlights the advantage of the strategy of control system stabilityanalysis.Using Labwindows/CVI as a development platform to develop an universally advancedcombined integrating control software. Build the combined integrating control system model inSimulink and the data is exchanged through DDE communication technology. All of the softwarefunction can be effectively tested and without affecting the real industrial production.
