Drying cylinder is the core component of drying equipment, which widely used inprinting and dyeing industry. High frequency induction-heating drying cylinder comparedwith steam-heating drying cylinder and oil-heating drying cylinder has advantages ofenergy-saving, environment friendly, and high heating efficiency. The use of highfrequency induction-heating drying cylinder can save energy, reduce pollution.In this paper, study of modeling and control method due to the heating process ofhigh frequency induction-heating drying cylinder, and conduct theoretical analysis of highfrequency induction-heating drying cylinder heating process. Based on factors whichimpact on the temperature of high frequency induction-heating drying cylinder in differentways, factors that affect the drying cylinder heating process are divided into two parts,endothermic part and heat dissipation part. Mathematical model of high frequencyinduction-heating drying cylinder heating process is established by mechanism modelingmethod, and which is expressed by state-space equation.By analyzing the characteristics of the mathematical model, the system of highfrequency induction-heating drying cylinder heating process is a strict feedback trianglestructure nonlinear system. Combine Backstepping method and neural network method todesign control algorithm of heating process, this method can fully utilize the structuralcharacteristics of the system. In this way can solve the uncertainty problems of the system.The adaptive control law of the system can be designed by this method. Matlab simulationresults show the effectiveness of the algorithm.Control system is mainly composed of IPC and PLC. Heating process is controlledby this system and achieves good result, which verifies the effectiveness of the proposedcontrol method.
