After entering into the twenty-first century, Economic globalizationbecomes more apparent. Driven by the allure of various interests, multinationalcompanies are seeking for capital value-added opportunities in developingcountries. A variety of domestic industries has been opened up to a certain extent,they actively participate in international market, and they come across ininternational capital one after another, however, they are facing competitivepressure from the media giant while enjoying the convenience of a widefinancing channels. China’s media, as an industry with dual attributes, has to obeythe responsibility of mass media propaganda duties on one hand; on the otherhand, they have to carry out market-oriented operation actively, particularly inthe construction of media groups. In order to compete and cooperate with theforeign financing media groups, they actively expand the channels for financingand use capital operation for being stronger. While the foreign capital, regardlessof contraction and relaxation of the policy, never stops its penetration on theChinese market since the beginning of the1980s, they have been trying to avoidor even touch the policy, to push the Chinese government to open the Chinesemedia market. In the consideration of the special nature of China’s media industry,however, the foreign investment takes a more circuitous way. Is the cooperationbetween media industry and the foreign capital happy or not? How is thespillover effect of foreign investment in the media industry? This article tried togive an answer for reference.The second chapter of the body gives an account on the development offoreign capital and China’s media industry, which focusing on the analysis ofpresent status and background for the use of foreign investment by Chinese mediaindustry; in the third Chapter we gradually cut to the spillover effects of foreigncapital entering into Chinese media industry, but it is only in the level oftheoretical and effects analysis, the forth chapter is the most important, by usingsample data to conduct related analysis and regression analysis, we get to thefinal model through construction of the experience model, through the analysis of the model,we get size of the spillover effects of media industry; the last chapteris the summary of the full text. However, in view of the incomplete data andinformation, any study is an incomprehensive one on a certain time. This articleintends to offer valuable suggestions with a view to attract more attention fromthe scholars, during which we also points out the future direction of research.
