The liquid-crystal display (LCD) industry has shown rapid growth in fivemarket areas, namely, notebook computers, monitors, mobile equipment, mobiletelephones, and televisions presently. For high-speed communication networks, theemerging portable information tools will drive the demand for displays in mobileapplications and flat panels and require high-quality displays.This article mainly studies the basic principle and the means of gammacorrection based on analysing photoelectricity curve of TFT LCD. This airticlefirstly analyes the nonlinearity between Photoelectric curve of TFT LCD andhuman visual system (HVS), and studies the relation of the drive voltage of TFTLCD, the transmisstion, the luminance and the grey level. Adjusting the drivevoltage to compensate for the the nonlinearity between the gray level and theluminance and finish the applied means of the gamma correction.This article focused on study and regulation of the gamma curve panel of acommercial TFT LCD panel, firstly studies the influence of these drive voltage onthe gamma correction, and optimizes parameters and the sequence of adusting thedrive voltage, and complete gamma correction by gradient adjustment, amplitudeadjustment and fine adjustment. Finally gamma curves is consistent with gamma2.2curve, LCD gray scale display effect is more uniform, display effect is improvedobviously.
