Soil plays a vital role in the existence and development of human beings.Human’s life cannot do without agricultural products. The quality and safety ofagricultural products is in relation to human health. The quality of agriculturalproducts depends on the quality of farmland soil.With the rapid development ofmodern society; emissions of pollutants are soil and polluting river. We call Soilpollution as"invisible pollution", because its pollution is hidden and hysteretic,but it has the most direct affect on the quality and safety of agricultural products. Ifsoil is polluted, it is not easy to remediation. Soil pollution is concealed, extensive,hysteretic, comprehensive and associated, difficult to restore and indircted harm, ithas become one of the most important environmental problems. Now, there is a largeamount of monitoring data on heavy metals in farmland soil, and it is dispersed.Research on a large amount of soil monitoring data management, analysis andassessment on farmland soil pollution and forecast on heavy metal pulltion infarmland soil is very important, and it has most practical significance.Geographic information system is a modern technology which manages spatialdata and analyzes information, especially in processing spatial information. Especiallyin recent years, with the development of a variety of geographic data processingtechnology, and the rapid development of computer technology, it provide thenecessary conditions for the analysis and prediction of soil heavy metal in thetechnical support,.In this paper, the design, development and application of farmland soil heavymetal pollution and forecasting system is the foundation of the research, makedemand analysis, function design detailed design process, selecting the evaluationmethod and model appropriate and feasible through literature research. This systemtakes ArcGIS Server as platform, Microsoft Visual Studio2008.Net as developenvironment, take C#as develop language, put model into system by using GISsecond development technology to realize all the functions in this system. The testshows that, this system not only operation interface is simple and easy to understand,and the operation conditions are very good, easy for non professional users, achieve the design requirements of the target. The system provides a scientific and effectivedata and analysis results for soil pollution control and environmental management, sothey formulate corresponding solutions, has very important significance.
