Intelligent prosthetic can help those people whose upper limbs are disability to dosome things such as get food, the use of tools and so on. However, how to control theintelligent prosthesis is an urgent problem to solve. The study of using active awareness ofamputees to control prosthetic is a development direction where we need to encode thelimb motion information from neural signal.The works in this thesis have been supported by National Natural Science Foundationof China. We designed an experimental platform which can induce subjects to finishintended trials and monitor the experiment process.The system contains three parts, i.e. the mechanical structure, the hardware and thesoftware. The mechanical structure includes the main body frame structure, sensors andshaped targets installed part, motor supporting structure etc. The device is designed toresist potential damage from the experimental subjects.In the hardware design part,we choose C8051F020microcontroller as the masterchip.Motors are used to change the target object position and orientation; pressuresensors are used to confirm whether the subject has touched the specified location;LEDlights are used to guide the experimenter to do the tasks.PC control system is based on MFC including parameter configuration module,hardware debugging module and experimental process control module. Parameterconfiguration module setts parameters during the experiment; the hardware debuggingmodule checks whether the motors, sensors, LED and other hardware functions in ourexperiment device are in good condition. The functions of the experimental processcontrol module are recording and displaying state parameters during tasks, communicationwith signal acquisition equipment and experiment schedule control. Communicationbetween PC and the microcontroller is completed through the serial. In the end, we usedthe experimental platform to collect data and processed them to verify if the equipmenthas met the design requirements.
